COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

Community partnerships between the Minnesota Humanities Center and organizations in communities throughout the state provide opportunities for Minnesotans to participate in public humanities activities. The Humanities Center joins with national institutions such as the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Library of Congress, the Folger Shakespeare Library, and the Smithsonian Institution to provide these humanities-rich public programs to Minnesotans.

Current community partnerships include:

Museum on Main Street traveling exhibits in conjunction with the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum on Main Street program;
Minnesota’s poet laureate;
Letters About Literature, a national essay contest for students in grades four through 12; and
Authors in Communities.
